Visualizers and games
Nine visualizers and eight games that follow the beat of whatever is playing.
Visualizers
Open Visualizer from the screens bar. ←/→ switch visualizer and A changes its camera or variant. The screen remembers the last visualizer, also after restarting, and each one has its own icon in the START list. It can also play dimmed behind Now Playing: see Visualizer background.
| Name | |
|---|---|
| Lake | A pixel lake that ripples on the beat |
| Drift | Drifting particles |
| Trench | Flying down a trench |
| Plasma | Classic plasma in the cover's colors |
| Tunnel | A tunnel |
| Waves | Waves |
| Bars | Spectrum bars |
| Ridges | Stacked spectrum lines, like the Unknown Pleasures cover |
| MilkDrop | Classic MilkDrop presets, built-in or your own (see below) |

MilkDrop
To open it (v0.12.0 or newer): press SELECT and pick Visualizer in the screens bar, then press ←/→ until MilkDrop. It's the last one, so ← once from the first gets you there. You can also pick it from the list in START.
The last visualizer plays MilkDrop 1 presets (.milk files), the classic Winamp visualizer. It comes with eight original presets, and you can add your own: put .milk files in the app's milkdrop folder, next to the program. Subfolders are fine, so you can unzip a whole pack there. MilkDrop preset packs are easy to find online. The folder is read the first time you open MilkDrop; after adding files, use START → Rescan presets. You can pick another folder in Settings → MilkDrop presets.
About every 20 seconds it moves to the next preset on a beat, blending the two for two seconds.
- L1/R1: previous/next preset (on this screen they don't change the song).
- A: Lock preset, so it stops changing; press again to Unlock preset.
- START: Colors (A switches between Preset and Album), Previous preset, Next preset, Random preset, Lock preset and Rescan presets.

Preset (the default) shows each preset as its author made it. Album repaints it with the colors of the album that's playing, keeping its shapes and brightness. MilkDrop 2 presets load too, but their shaders are ignored, so many look different from the original.
Games
Open Games from the screens bar. They play to the beat of what's playing, including the tracker's songs. In every game START pauses.
| Game | How it plays |
|---|---|
| Crypt | A rhythm roguelike: step and fight through random dungeons, but only on the beat. Walking into an enemy attacks. On-beat streaks raise a multiplier up to FEVER ×4. With touch, tap the side of the hero to step there. |
| Blocks | Falling blocks with hard drops on the beat for combos. ←/→ move, ↓ soft drop, ↑ hard drop, A/B rotate, X hold. |
| Rhythm | Notes from the song's drums fall down four lanes (kick, snare, and the hi-hats alternating between the two right lanes, with cymbals on the last one); hit them on the line. |
| Runner | Like Chrome's dinosaur, on the beat: A jumps (hold for higher), ↓ ducks. Jump on the “and” for a PERFECT. |
| Name that song | A few seconds of a song from your library and four choices; ten rounds. |
| Snake | Steps on the song's beat subdivisions. |
| Ships | A shooter that fires on every eighth note and spreads on the bass. |
| Duel | Turn-based battles: strike near the center of the bar (it lands on the beat), then dodge the notes your foe throws. |
The Tracker is also under Games.
