Scrobbling

Count what you listen to on Last.fm and ListenBrainz.

Settings → Scrobbling holds both accounts. A song counts once half of it has played (or four minutes), if it lasts at least 30 seconds; “now playing” is sent a few seconds after it starts. The service sends them, so it works with the player closed. Radio and podcast episodes aren't scrobbled.

Last.fm

  1. Choose Last.fm. A QR code with Last.fm's authorization page appears.
  2. Scan it with your phone and authorize Audiofilus with your Last.fm account.
  3. Within a few seconds Audiofilus says it's connected as your user.

Choose it again to disconnect. If it says API key missing, your build doesn't include Audiofilus's Last.fm application key; the official releases do.

ListenBrainz

Choose ListenBrainz and type your user token (from your ListenBrainz settings page). Audiofilus checks it and shows your user name.

Without a connection

Listens that can't be sent wait and go out when the connection is back (they're retried every couple of minutes). A wrong token or a revoked session is dropped instead of retried.

On your server

Songs from a Subsonic or Jellyfin server also count on that server, unless you turn off Count on the server.
