Handheld systems
What Audiofilus does differently on Knulli, muOS, ROCKNIX, ArkOS, dArkOS and EmuELEC.
Audiofilus detects the system when it starts and uses that system's own tools for the lid, the power button, the volume and the battery. Tested on an Anbernic RG34XX-SP with Knulli.
Where your files live
Settings (audiofilus.json) and data (data/: library cache, playlists, history, lyrics, podcasts, the log audiofilus.log) sit next to the program, in the port's folder:
| System | Folder |
|---|---|
| Knulli | /userdata/roms/ports/audiofilus |
| ArkOS, dArkOS | /roms/ports/audiofilus, or /roms2/ports/audiofilus if your games are on the second SD card |
| EmuELEC | /storage/roms/ports/audiofilus |
| muOS (app) | the app's folder under MUOS/application |
The power button
- With the player open, a tap of the power button puts Audiofilus to sleep (screen off, music on) instead of suspending the console. Holding it still powers off.
- After Go to background, the console suspends as usual when you press it.
With the player open, the system's idle suspend and screen dimming are also held off.
Knulli
- The volume buttons go through Audiofilus while the player is open, so you can go past 100 %.
- Closing the lid puts Audiofilus to sleep; opening it doesn't wake it: START does.
muOS
- Install it through PortMaster or as a native app (
audiofilus.muxapp, see Getting started). - Above 100 % the volume is raised from the app; muOS's own buttons handle the system volume.
ROCKNIX
- With ROCKNIX's “fake suspend” (suspend mode off in its settings), pressing the power button mutes and freezes everything, and Audiofilus can't stop it. With normal suspend (the default), the button puts Audiofilus to sleep.
ArkOS, dArkOS and EmuELEC
- On consoles whose battery gauge always reports 0 % (like the RG353V with dArkOS), the battery level is estimated from its charge or voltage, or hidden.
EmuELEC
- It runs on the Odroid Go Advance and Super, the GameForce Chi and Amlogic TV boxes. It hasn't been tested on a real device yet.
- On the handhelds, with the player open, the power button puts Audiofilus to sleep instead of suspending the console. TV boxes never suspend.
- Install PortMaster from the EmuELEC menu first. To install by hand, put
Audiofilus.shin/storage/roms/ports_scripts(where EmuELEC lists ports) and theaudiofilusfolder in/storage/roms/ports.
Battery use
Measured on an RG34XX-SP: in sleep Audiofilus draws about 260 mA, around 11 to 12 hours of music on its 3300 mAh battery.
